In today’s video we’re going to cover 5 businesses that have the most start up potential for ANYONE currently.
Not only will I rank them based on previous experience with them, but I’ll also layout why I believe so.
First we have eCommerce as a whole. I know that’s broad, but honestly there’s so many different approaches to eCom that work.
Almost anyone can start an ecom store, learn the ropes quickly, and see at least some level of success and make some money.
A lot of people will tell you this is over-saturated….and in a lot of ways it definitely is. BUT there’s a reason for that…..it works.
I don’t particularly like the shopify business model where you’re running ads to generate sales. I know it works for lots of people. But ultimately I like to keep my expenses relatively low in my businesses. Not only do I think that works better and is easier to manage, but it always keeps it simpler.
I’ve seen success with retail dropshipping, print on demand, online arbitrage, amazon fba wholesale, and a number of other business models where you can leverage sites that ALREADY have traffic on them to get sales.
The truth is they all can work. It’s ultimately about the execution of each…and differentiation.
Coming in at #2 is Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate marketing is one of the simplest business models anyone can start today.
You don’t need your own product. There’s millions of high quality products you can recommend. You also don’t need to spend any money to start this either.
Now, you might think you need to create a website and rank articles in google to make commissions….but that’s an outdated way to approach it.
The more effective approach is to create videos and post them on sites like YouTube, Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram.
You also might think you need an audience to see some level of success with this….but again that’s not true either.
If you don’t have an audience yet, then just create videos demonstrating the value of specific products or software…then subtly recommend people use your affiliate link for a discount.
Tutorials like this work extremely well b/c if a product already has interest, often people are either looking for some assurances it’ll actually solve their problem….or a how to video on how to use it.
And they’ll also actively be searching for tutorials like this. So you don’t have to rely solely on the algorithm of each platform to suggest you.
I did a video recently on how you can make a full time income with affiliate marketing alone. I’ll link it at the bottom of the description if you want to learn more.
Not only will it show you examples of affiliate programs I make money with…but it’ll also give you actionable tips to make sure you’re able to make money with affiliate marketing easier.
#3 is to create courses on course marketplaces. This is NOT the same as creating an online course on a site like teachable or kajabi….and then needing an audience to sell it to…which is what you see me…and almost every other youtuber doing.
That’s a completely different can of worms we won’t delve into here.
I’m talking about creating courses and putting them on websites that ALREADY have students actively purchasing courses on them.
This approach is very similar to the retail dropshipping approach too. The reason it works so well is because you’re leveraging pre-existing traffic and pre-existing interest. That way you can just mainly focus on creating good courses….and the platform will help you sell them.
Examples of sites like this are Udemy, Skillshare, Stack Commerce, Pluralsight, and a number of others…
But this is an often slept on method to make money for lots of people. Most people are under the false assumption there’s no money in this b/c these sites discount your courses heavily.
But I can assure you it’s quite the opposite. Not only is there decent money in this (if you have a decent course that has interest obviously)….but it’ll sell on autopilot too once it gets a little traction b/c once te course site realizes people like it, they’ll market it for you.
This is one of the first things I started as an entrepreneur yearrsss ago. And I still put courses on Udemy and other sites to this day…which should tell you everything you need to know. It’s worth it for me.
